How to finish wood paneled that joins with a finished dry wall.?
I have a wood paneled wall that frames a door at the end of a a hallway. The wood wall consists of unfinished wood pieces almost like a hardwood floor. How do I paint this wood to make it look like the rest of the walls in the hallway ? Can I cover it with some type of paper and paint the paper so it has the same texture as the drywall ? What about the corner where the wood meets the existing finished drywall - how do you make it looks smooth ?
Try using Brewster's Paintable Wallpaper, it may be left unpainted for a clean fresh look, or painted a solid color for drama. Apply ... See More
*sighs* Wood is made from trees, and trees are still common (there is a moderate amount still left). So, wood isn't so scarce at the time ... See More
How to safely tear up the wood floor which has mold growing on the back of the wood and concrete sla
The wood floor in our family room (20"x20") has numerous discolorated spots. We ripped up a couple of wood pieces and found mold growing on the back of the wood and on the concrete slab. Our plan is to cover up the air vent and contain the room with plastics from the rest of the house when we remove the wood floor. We want to somehow first kill the mold with diluted bleach before ripping up the wood floor. How can we get to the mold as the woods are still glued down to the concret slab?

Wood???????
I was wondering what type of wood you would use to make a soapbox car. My brother wants to make one.
A light weight plywood or pressed wood. See More

What type of wood should I use when building a built in entertainment center?
I'm looking for a wood that won't sag over time or be extremely heavy. I was told to stay away from partical board (will sag) and plywood (way to heavy). I want to stain the wood, not paint it white or anything like that so I need a wood that looks nice also. I was told to use a solid hardwood but I can't seem to find 'sheets' of wood wide enough to build an entertainment system. Any info (along with websites that sell the stuff) would be appreciated.
I used to build solid wood furniture using oak plywood for the large pieces and oak boards for the smaller stuff. Plywood comes in 3/4" ... See More

Can laminate wood flooring in two adjoining rooms be mismatched?
We are moving into our first home and we are replacing the carpet in the living room with laminate wood flooring. The floor in the dining room is already laminate wood and joins up with the living room floor. We are trying to pick out new floors and are wondering if we can get a different color wood floor for the living room or if we need to match it perfectly with the dining room. Would mismatching the wood look tacky?? Calling all interior designers! I need your help!
First, it is unlikely you will find flooring to perfectly match. You should mix up all the boxes of laminate flooring because of ... See More

How can you fix up a wood swing set?
We just bought a house and it has an older wood swingset (which I hate the wood), Whats the best way to get that new look back again, is there any kind of coating I can put over it so the kids can't get splinters? Any suggestions on what to put on the pieces of wood that they use to climb on to the slide (they are not steps, just like wood slats) so they don't have to put their feet on the wood itself, I would like to cover the whole wood platform on the top of the slide with something too.
AT your local improvement store you can find a sticky back stuff that looks like sand paper for steps. They also make a rubber with sticky ... See More

What wood is suitable to build a bird house?
It needs to be a cheap wood but a effective and strong one. I dont know much about woods and how to make it waterproof and which woods are most suitable for outdoors.
